Investing and funding

Fund a platform that pays the people who teach.

Arsclepius is live, small and early: a working product, a shared skill library, payments and payouts, and a revenue-share ledger that closes every quarter. Funding goes to the things that grow it: more disciplines built out, advertising, and outreach to the instructors and communities who make it worth joining.

  • Live product, early stage
  • Funds go to expansion and outreach
  • Terms discussed one to one

What Arsclepius is

A platform where hands-on crafts are learned in person and the proof travels with the learner. Each discipline has a skill ladder. An instructor signs off a skill they have seen a student do, and the card carries the instructor's name. Around that sit practice sheets, online courses, events with tickets and QR check-in, communities with chat and a calendar, and performers with pages of their own.

Eleven disciplines have full ladders today: shibari, fitness, yoga, pilates, powerlifting, strength training, Olympic weightlifting, calisthenics, running, cycling and swimming. Aerial, muay thai, scuba and others are seeded and growing. Anyone can explore events, courses and public profiles without an account.

It is built to be honest about itself. Every public page states what is live and what is not, and the pay page prints how the revenue share is computed rather than a number it cannot back.

Where funding goes

The first uses are expansion and reach. The cost lines are the same ones the platform's own ledger budgets for.

Building out disciplines

Each discipline needs a curated ladder: skills, tiers, prerequisites, anatomy, and the peer review that keeps it honest. Eleven are built out; the rest are seeded. This is skilled work, and funding pays for it.

Advertising

Reaching students who are already looking for a class, a jam, a coach or a show, in the disciplines that are ready for them.

Outreach to instructors and communities

The platform is only as good as who teaches on it. Funding pays for finding instructors and communities, bringing them on, and supporting them while their students arrive.

Safety and support

A safety and support net for the crafts this platform serves, including the independent professionals for serious disputes that are still being arranged.

Operations and people

Servers, payments infrastructure, and the salaries of the people who build and run it. Salaries are a cost line that comes off the top before any share is paid.

How the model works

  1. One flat fee per paid order

Arsclepius earns $5 on each paid order and nothing else: no monthly fee, no listing fee, no percentage. Sellers set their own prices and are paid through Stripe Connect.

  2. Costs come off the top

Operations, salaries, advertising, safety and support, and leadership are budgeted, and any deficit from earlier periods is covered first. What remains is the pool.

  3. Profit is shared with the people who teach

Half of the pool is split evenly among everyone who taught in the quarter, half by verified contribution: skills signed off for others, hours taught, attendees through the door. Never by sales.

The full mechanics are on the pay page.

  4. Growth compounds through the library

Every skill lives in one shared library reviewed by the professionals who teach it. Each new instructor and community makes the ladders deeper for the next one.

What this page will not do

It will not print projections, valuations or terms. Those are discussed one to one, against the real ledger, with the founder.

It will not quietly soften the commitment to instructors. The revenue share is published on the pay page and any funding conversation starts from it.

Questions people ask

What stage is Arsclepius at?

Live and early. The product works end to end: accounts, ladders, verification, practice sheets, courses, events with tickets and check-in, communities, performers, Stripe payments and payouts. The user base is small, and the revenue share has not made its first distribution yet. Real figures are shared one to one.

What is the revenue model?

A flat $5 platform fee on every paid order. No monthly fee, no listing fee, no percentage of sales.

What would funding be used for first?

Advertising to students in the disciplines that are ready, and outreach to the instructors and communities who teach them. Then building out more disciplines.

Yes. Events, courses and public profiles are open to anyone without an account, and every audience page on this site states what is live.
